Infinity War – Movie Review/Reactions

I have now seen Avengers: Infinity War twice and feel like I can form coherent, critical thoughts and put them on paper (or a screen)…

Who am I kidding? That movie still has me exactly as f*cked up as I thought it would, and I don’t think I can form anything coherent. And I also doubt I can actually form critical thoughts about it without spoiling it, and I don’t want to do that. So I’m just going to express my emotions with moving pictures of other people showing emotions. Which is my strange way of saying: this post is to be mostly made of reaction gifs.

No spoilers from me! In case you haven’t seen the movie yet and have somehow managed not to be spoiled, I won’t be the one to do it, so you can safely read on.

The Avengers: Age of Ultron

First things first: Spoiler Alert. We will discuss the whole movie, including plot twists and what-the-fuck-moments, so if you haven’t watched the movie yet… what are you waiting for?!

It starts out with an action scene with all the Avengers fighting Hydra together, looking for Loki’s staff. The Maximoff twins make their first appearance as Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen) and Quicksilver (Aaron Taylor-Johnson), messing stuff up, but the Avengers retrieve the staff, and we see Natasha helping the Hulk transform back into Bruce Banner. Tony Stark, wanting to create “a suit of armor around the world”, uses the staff to try and create artificial intelligence, calling it Ultron, but fails. There’s a party – where everyone tries to lift Thor’s hammer but fails – which is crashed by Ultron, who, after all, was created. Well, big surprise, Ultron is not a big fan of humanity and wants to destroy it, and we have a movie.
