We got tagged by Becca to do this Pokémon Go Book Tag – thank you!
Without further ado:
Frodo: Narnia by C.S. Lewis. My parents read it to me and I just fell in love with these books, and books in general.
Sam: Inkheart by Cornelia Funke. I’ve mentioned somewhere before that this was my first “fandom”, long before that notion even existed. I still love that book!
Frodo: Lord of the Rings, Narnia and Harry Potter! This will never change.
Sam: Harry Potter. I totally agree with Becca on this; I don’t think this series will die anytime soon – and not only because our entire generation will be reading those books to our children.
Frodo: Well for me it’s the same book as for Sam. The hype killed all my interest for the book.
Sam: I can’t come up with any… Unless Twilight counts. But I was 12. And I would have lost interest in it, whether it was everywhere or not, so yeah.
Frodo: The Magisterium by Cassandra Clare and Holly Black. It reminds me of Harry Potter, but I still really, really like it.
Sam: Raven’s Shadow is nothing groundbreakingly new, but I still enjoy reading it a lot.
Frodo: There are none, at least not right now…
Sam: A Song of Ice and Fire. I’ve finally (!!) gotten around to watching Game of Thrones, and I even bought the books, but just looking at the size of all 5 of them scares me. Maybe I’ll have time to overcome that when I’m on vacation…
Frodo: One book? Every good book kept me up at night, because I needed to read.
Sam: Oh Chuck, there’s so many… If a book is good, I don’t see the time passing, and it happens way too often that I look up from said book and realize that the sun is about to come up.
Frodo: Well, I have the same answer as Sam for this one.
Sam: Why is it called “One True Pairing” when no one actually only has one? I have at least one OTP per book! So I’ll take one of the last books I read, which would be Feyre and Rhysand from A Court of Mist and Fury.
Frodo: Cinder, Scarlet and Cress. But also Throne of Glass. And a lot more…
Sam: I can’t just pick one. Seriously. There’s weeks when I read one book a day, no matter how good or bad the books are. And then there’s weeks where I don’t read at all, for whatever reason. But if I had to name one… I read Throne of Glass in a few hours time because I couldn’t put it away.
Frodo: Everything with Shadowhunters. And from the world of Vampire Academy.
Sam: The Shadowhunter world. I’m in love with what Cassandra Clare created, and there cannot be enough spin-offs! And Harry Potter. The Wizarding World is so huge, and we’ve only really seen a tiny part of it – I want to see more! Thank the Queen that there’s The Cursed Child and Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them.
Frodo: I know it’s not very creative but I thought the same about The Lunar Chronicles, but when I read it I was blown away.
Sam: The Lunar Chronicles. I really did not expect to like them as much as I did, because I’m not a big fan of Sci-Fi (Star Wars does not count!). So when Frodo told be about these books, I couldn’t help thinking “meh. Humans on the Moon? Cyborgs?”. Boy, was I wrong!
Frodo: No idea.
Sam: What she said.
Frodo: The Lord of the Rings.
Sam: The Lord of the Rings.
Frodo: Can’t wait for the day Sam finishes her book.
Sam: Ehm… my own? Once it’s finished? Not that that’s happening anytime soon… But still. Yes, I’m excited to see what mess it turns out to be 😛
Frodo: Cassandra Clare, J.K. Rowling and Sarah J. Maas.
Sam: Cassandra Clare. And J.K. Rowling.
Frodo: Empire of Storms and Winds of Winter. This is going to take a while, espcially with the second one.
Sam: Empire of Storms. I read Queen of Shadows when it came out last September – and man, one year can be a very long time when waiting for a new book!
We don’t tag anyone in specific – everyone who wants to do it, do it! Have fun 😀
