This week’s 5 Fandom Friday is supposed to be “5 Ways We Are Going To Take Chances In 2016”, but because we’re too busy figuring out how life’s supposed to work without taking chances, we’re not planing on taking too many this year. Until we figure things out. After that, who knows? We might just go a bit crazy. Or crazier than we already are.
Anyway, long introduction to say: we’re not doing that 5 Fandom Friday, because we’d rather do 5 Things We Are Looking Forward To In 2016 – things we know we are going to do, as well as things that we would love to do but aren’t sure if we can do. If that makes any sense.
And since we did a post about the movies we are looking forward to this year, the TV-shows we plan on seeing and the books we’re excited for, none of these things are going on this list.
You still with me? Awesome! Let’s do this.
HobbitCon 4 is going to be from April 1st to April 3rd in Bonn, and because we loved HobbitCon 3, we bought our tickets for HobbitCon 4 months ago. So that is most definitely something we’re looking forward to.
Purgatory is back on May 14th-15th, and hopefully, so are we. That sounded weird. What I wanted to say was: the convention is going for round 2, and because we had such an awesome time last year, we would love to work there again. So fingers crossed!
I’ve only been to Amsterdam once, and just for a day, but I loved that day. And since Frodo wants to go as well, we’ve decided that we if there was any way, we were going to go to Amsterdam this year; even if it’s just for a few days. It’s not thaaat for from where one of us lives, so who knows? It might actually work out!
We’ve always wanted to go to Budapest! From what we’ve heard, it’s an amazing and beautiful city, that we would love to visit. And because it’s not tooo far away, we’re not giving up hope of this working.
We are most certainly going to have to pick one of these places, because I can hardly imagine we’ll have the money to go to all three, but who knows? We might win the lottery or something! And if we do, I’m dragging Frodo to Scotland. She’s been there before, but I haven’t, and I’ve wanted to go for a long time. So, if there is any chance, we’ll try to make it happen.
