There’s a new trailer for Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens! Okay, technically, it’s not really new anymore given that it’s been out for a few days, but I was busy. Now that I’m not for a few minutes, I’ll talk about it a tiny bit, because I’m very excited for this movie. And I have faith in it, even though the prequels weren’t as good as they could have been.
Let me start by saying that I really know next to nothing about this movie. I’ve heard a couple of things and I’ve seen the posters and trailers, but apart from that, I have no information whatsoever, because I want to go into this movie and just discover the story as it goes. So I don’t know any names, and I have absolutely no clue as to what the plot is going to be.
Now that that’s out there, let’s get to talking about the trailer itself. The music is great – I loved when Han Solo came on and there was the Han Solo and Leia music. That was awesome.
The camera work was cool too – there’s a couple of awesome shots in this trailer. And that’s just the trailer!
And I like that the trailer doesn’t give away much information. I still don’t know anything about the plot of this movie. I don’t know the characters’ names, I don’t know what’s going on, or how much time has even passed since the events of Return of the Jedi. It must have been a while, because they tell Han Solo that they’ve heard the legends about the Force and the Jedi – to which Han Solo responds that everything is true (that was awesome too).
What else is there to say..? Ah, yes, the bad guy. He has Darth Vader’s burnt mask and talks to it, saying that he’ll “finish what [Darth Vader] started”. Sounds very ominous, doesn’t it? I guess we’ll see what exactly it is that he means by that. And I think that’s it! I’m sure there is a lot more to say, but it’d make this post too long. Everything I forgot to mention will most certainly be mentioned in a later review of the movie once it’s in cinemas.
How about you guys? Is anyone else excited about this movie? What is it you’re looking forward to most? Or are you rather sceptical? 😀
