The new Mockingjay Part 2 trailer was released, so of course we’re gonna to talk about it! We still have some time to kill until November. Can we have November now? Please?
But no, of course because of some stupid laws of the world and what-not, we still have to wait for a couple of months. So back to the trailer, since that, at least, we have:
We got a lot new scences since the last trailer and we’re loving them! The speeches – let’s start with the speeches. Snow talking to Katniss about how they’ve been watching each other. That man gives me the creeps. And then the one about the disctricts finally being united against one enemy, who has barricaded himself inside his city behind traps – holy sh*t, have you seen all the dots that mark those traps? I mean, we’ve read the books, so we know it was going to look like that, but actually seeing it is a whole other thing. That’s just… it’d be impressive if it wasn’t so bad.
But the most important one is, of course, Peeta’s. He’s always had a way with words, hasn’t he, and he proves it again when he talks about what Katniss has to do so that all the deaths caused by Snow could mean something. Gives me goosebumps.
And then there’s the music. It’s so fitting for the epic finale of this trilogy (it’s supposed to be a trilogy, and it’s always going to be, no matter into how many movies they decide to turn the last book). It’s big with the drums in the background, and kinda threatening with the violins (at least I think it’s violins? I don’t know all that much about music…). The stakes are high and the music of this trailer really conveys that.
So, what do you think about the new trailer? Are you excited for the movie?
The parts I’m most looking forward to are Katniss helping Peeta with his mind-jacking. The bit in the book where he asks her to tell him about himself and she gives him this big rambly speech and ends it with ‘and you always double-knot your shoelaces’… and then she ducks back into the tent so he can’t see her crying… that makes me tear up.

Oh yes, me too. The whole book played with my emotions and the movie will do the same.

What did you think of Mockingjay P1? The Hanging Tree montage kinda made me want to grab a pitchfork and march against social injustice

For me it was the best and most intense moment in the whole movie! When I came back home after the movie I downloaded the song and listened to it non-stop. Of course, singing along was included (even in the supermarket).

Same! It was just so inspiring. The whole thing really did feel like a war zone. I think the Hunger Games films are some of the best book-film adaptations I’ve ever seen. Also, Jennifer Lawrence is incredible.

Only the trailer. I can’t watch horror movies. (Supernatural doesn’t count ;))

Season One’s Bloody Mary counts! I still have issues going to the bathroom at night after that…

True! But I only saw this episode once over 6 years ago, so I had enough time to recover.

Haha, good idea. The scariness kinda went away after season one, appearing only sporadically. I don’t think anyone really minded…

Thank chuck. Sometimes I forget how scary it was and when I rewatch an episode it is always like: “OMG! How could I forget?!”

Phone call for Asylum, lol.
Chuck! You make a Chuck ref! Have you heard the s11 news? Sam is going to find faith in God… so we may see some more Chuck…

That would be awesome! We also need more Gabriel! He needs to come back!

OH HELL YES. If they ever plan on bringing him back, it’ll be in s11.
Honestly though, if I could pick one character to bring back… I’d pick Balthazar. He’s one of many, many reasons s6 is my favourite.

Oh yes! He was awesome! But I would bring back Charlie 😉

Ahhh, Charlie. Much as I miss her, I agree with Misha on this- you can’t have sacred cows in this show, or it starts to feel ‘safe’. But still. Uuuugh. Chaaaarlie.
